Drawings: Bathers

The drawings of Bathers on this page were all made on a beach in Surry, Maine in the summer of 2014. We stayed at a private home along a miles long stretch of rocky coast line. I would take the papers down to the beach and rub them against sand to bring up the tooth in the paper.  I then floated the papers in the ocean while adding background colors. Once dried, they were then drawn on in pastels and charcoal.
